GET LOUDER LAUGHS.
NO GIGGING REQUIRED.

BUZZ'D is a stage where the crowd pays you to be funny. It's an open mic — first come, first serve — but the audience is throwing you paid improv challenges from their phones the whole time. You get half of every request. Great crowd work. Better improv. And a room that actually pays attention.

Why do BUZZ'D?

It's open mic money that actually pays.

You earn from every request

The audience pays to send you bits like 'sing a song,' 'roast yourself,' or 'act out a scene.' You keep half. On a busy night, that's real money for doing what you already do — being funny under pressure.

Sharpen your improv skills

You never know what's coming. The crowd is your scene partner. Every set forces you to listen, adapt, and deliver in the moment. After a few BUZZ'D nights, your crowd work is sharper everywhere.

Perform in front of a packed room

The format sells the room. People come because they want to control the show. That means actual butts in seats, real laughs, and a crowd that's already pulling for you.

It's a blast to do

You get to sing, roast, reenact, and clown. No two sets are the same. The audience is your writer's room and your hype squad at the same time.

First come, first serve

No gatekeeping. Show up, sign up, go up. It's an open mic, so you get stage time based on when you arrive — not who you know.

Build a following

Your name, photo, and Instagram link are on the screen behind you and on every phone in the room. Audience members follow you, tip you, and come back to see you again.

How it works for comics

Show up. Get on the list. Get paid.

01

Show up early

It's first come, first serve. Arrive before the room fills and get your name on the BUZZ'D open mic list.

02

Hit the stage

The host calls you up. Your name, photo, and Instagram are on the stage screen — the crowd can follow you instantly.

03

Run the requests

The audience sends you challenges from their phones. The host reads them, you perform them live. Every paid request is cash in your pocket.

04

Get paid out

At the end of the show, you get your cut of every request sent to you. No waiting, no invoicing.

Buzzer rules

The buzzer is how your set ends.

Free for the crowd

Anyone in the audience can tap the buzzer on their phone. It costs nothing. It's the crowd's way of saying 'wrap it up.'

No set time limit

There is no maximum or minimum time. You can keep going as long as the crowd is with you. The buzzer is the only thing that cuts a set short.

Show caps at 90 minutes

The whole show runs a maximum of 90 minutes. The host keeps the lineup moving so everyone gets a fair shot at the stage.

The crowd buys you bits

Things the audience might pay you to do.

Sing a song — badly or bravely
They pick the genre, you give it your best shot. Huge laughs either way.
Act out a famous movie scene
One-man reenactment. The worse the prop work, the bigger the laugh.
Roast yourself for 60 seconds
They write the prompts, you find the punchlines. Great self-deprecation practice.
Do a physical challenge
Push-ups, interpretive dance, impressions — whatever the crowd dreams up.
Tell a joke in a character voice
Walken, Schwarzenegger, a cartoon villain. Crowd picks, you commit.
Make up a rap about the room
Instant material based on the crowd, the bar, and the night.

"On a good night, a comic can walk away with $50–$150+ in request money alone — plus new followers, better crowd work, and a room that actually laughed."

Comedian FAQ

Questions before you hit the stage.

Do I have to pay to perform?
No. It's a free open mic. You just sign up, show up, and go up.
How do I get on the lineup?
First come, first serve. Arrive early, put your name on the list, and the host will call you up.
How much do I make?
You get half of every paid audience request sent to you. On a busy night with an active crowd, that adds up fast.
What if I don't want to do a request?
You can decline any challenge on stage. The host will skip it and move to the next one. You control the pace.
How long is my set?
There is no set time limit. You can go as long as the crowd is with you. The buzzer is the only thing that ends your set. The whole show runs a maximum of 90 minutes, so the host keeps the lineup moving.
What happens if the crowd buzzes me off?
The buzzer is free and available to everyone. If the vote threshold hits, the buzzer sounds and the next comic comes up. It's part of the game — and a great reason to keep the energy high.
Do I need to bring anything?
Just yourself and a good attitude. We provide the mic, the stage screen, and the tech.
Can I bring my friends?
Absolutely. The more people in the room, the more requests and the bigger the laughs. Just make sure they don't stuff the ballot.
